World-renowned Street Artist, Mr Brainwash, is now showing across 3 of the Maddox Gallery’s venues from Mayfair to Westbourne Grove, London, in a new exhibition entitled ‘Keep Smiling’

Known for his irreverent brand of appropriation (whether its Jeff Koons, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring or Andy Warhol), Mr Brainwash (a.k.a. Filmmaker Thierry Guetta) lends humour and wit to impressionist paintings and historical portraiture.  He originally shot to super-stardom when he featured in the Banksy documentary ‘Exit Through The Gift Shop’ – which was nominated for an Academy Award.  Since then, he has become one of the only Street Artists whose works have accrued a reputation for collectability.  He has brought his particular brand of Street Art to 6 continents, and has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to his solo art shows, and has designed cover artwork, album campaigns, installations and music videos for such icons as The Dalai Lama, The White House, Madonna and Coca Cola.

‘Mr Brainwash is unlike any artist today.  His shows are journeys – self-guided tours through a pop culture wonderland:  colourful and beautiful.  His artwork is a pure sensory experience and like so many of the subjects depicted in Mr Brainwash’s art, his works are timeless, reflecting human aspirations and the voice that screams, “Follow Your Dreams”‘…
